The Malaysian General 13th Elections has been the main talk of the people since its announcement in early April 2013. Building up to the dates of candidates nominations and those involved with the election and official voting date, the day was finally nearing, I cant believe how time flies, tomorrow May 5th 2013 will mark the choice of the ‘Rakyat’ or ‘People’ to elect the next coming government for the coming 5 years.
I spend my day mainly catching up with friends and its almost as though that, that was the only topic of the day. Sentiments were high and somehow I sensed that people were just trying to get their minds off tomorrow’s event. We took a stroll after a very late lunch to Gardens, Midvalley and we just popped by every store there was, from high-end boutique shops to decor shops and ended up at one of my favorite things to do, yay the record shop.
This really reminds me of my college days and how I use to frequent music stores all the time to check out what was the latest releases, and one of my favorite things was to listen in to new groups and fresh faces. You’d be surprise of how many unfounded talents and soon to be discovered hits I’ve listen too in the lots.
The rest decided to leave after gardens but my friend and I stayed on for dinner and we chatted over pizza and pasta, a great buy1 free 1 offer for about MYR35+ at Spaghetti, Mid Valley, before we cooled ourselves down at Brotzeit, a chic and contemporary styled German restaurant that serves Bavarian cuisine and the widest range of premium biers from the Paulaner family. I had myself both the darker beers, Dunkel Hefe – Weissbier (which I liked) and Original Muncher Dunkel (darker lager on the right) which was a tinge bit bitter for my liking but I enjoyed them both, I’d probably go for the lighter ones the next time!
The ride home was interesting as the night drew in, so did the excitement and this was pretty much the scene at Lembah Pantai, where crowds of people were hailing from both the supporting parties of BN (Barisan Nasional) and PKR (Pakatan Rakyat) to the countdown for Elections tomorrow!
